Meet George Harry Zoes

Candidate for Houston City Council – District A

Spring Branch Native

Spring Branch Native George Harry Zoes is the son of Greek Immigrants who have been in Spring Branch since 1958. His father Harry Zoes was involved in campaigning for several Mayors, council members etc. through the 1980’s. George went to Spring Brach High School, then pursued a degree in Business & Marketing at University of Houston Downtown. He learned his business skills early from his parent’s restaurant business and mentors. After 30 years of learning the ins and outs of business he has decided to put his skills to use by entering the race to represent District A at City Hall.

George Harry Zoes founded his first business in 1990 in a garage and became one of the leaders in the souvenir and gift industry. He created many new products and trends that have become the standard.

In 2013 he acquired Ruby’s Wigs (a Spring Branch business) with no knowledge of the industry and quickly turned it into one of the leading wig stores for cancer patients in Houston.

Not a Politician

George Zoes is not a politician; he is a small businessman and a problem solver who wants to bring his business experience and ideas to solve problems in District A and the City of Houston. Politicians in District A say only what you want to hear and pivot their answer to satisfy you rather than come up with a real solution.

George Zoes is a lifetime residnet of the Spring Branch area. He understands the importance of the quality of life for District A residents. And with 30 years in business, from start up to acquiring businesse(s), Zoes knows how to maintain a budget, cut excess waste, and attract new businesses to the area.
